Long-Term Care Statistics
How Many Americans will Need Long-Term Care? At What Cost?
Based on today’s costs of care, roughly 27 percent of us will see costs of care of at least $100,000, with costs in excess of $250,000 for about 15 percent of those who need care.[1] These figures do not include the significant financial and emotional costs of the large portion of care that is provided by unpaid family caregivers.
