For the women in “Aging Solo,” growing older has meant exploring their passions and discovering new ones. The photographs in “Aging Solo” by Natalia Rivera document strong women aging in place, bringing you into their lives and homes.
Lynn grew up in Greenwich, CT and was a nurse for more than 30 years. She’s seen Greenwich transform into a zip code that she can no longer afford, still she loves living in the house in which she grew up.
She refuses to give up the view she knows so well: The view to the Long Island Sound and to an unknown tiny island called Shell Island.
She has traveled the world, found love with a cowboy and herded cattle in Wyoming. This past August she had back surgery in Arizona and an old Greenwich friend (currently living in Australia), moved back and lived with her during her convalescence.
Now Lynn is back on her feet and continues to volunteer at Friends of Byram Shubert Library and is also a member of the Woman’s Club of Greenwich that supports many small local non-profits.
